Turnkey microfiltration skid
In addition to standalone process equipment, Veenbrink RVS also designs and manufactures integrated comprehensive solutions in a complete skid, seamlessly connecting tanks, valves, pumps, instrumentation, accessories, and connecting piping in a plug-and-play shipment. This microfiltration unit is used in the downstream process of the end user.
An integrated approach of mechanics, electrics, instrumentation and automation allows the skids to be designed, produced, validated and installed as a plug-and-play unit. Naturally, we comply with all GAMP guidelines. In addition to filtration skids, we also supply skids for buffer preparation, dilution and cleaning (CIP skids).
The microfiltration skid was extensively tested in our Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) area. This includes all necessary utilities: demineralised water, steam, compressed air, power supply and a temporary server environment. Together with the customer, we ensured that the filtration skid could go into the cleanroom as a plug-and-play unit, reducing on-site validation time at the customer. This allowed for quick commissioning of the equipment. After performing the FAT, the skid was transported to the customer site. On site, we connected the system, including the pipes and electronic signals, to the existing utilities. Veenbrink subsequently provided support to RVS with the Site Acceptance Test (SAT), Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ).
