Hygienic pressure vessels with heating, cooling, magnetic agitation and CIP cleaning
These two mobile preparation vessels, each with a net volume of 500 litres, were manufactured for the production of veterinary medicines. The pressure vessels have a pressure range of -1 to 3 barg and are equipped with a heating and cooling jacket with a pressure range of -1 to 6 barg.
The vessels were manufactured from AISI 316L. The internal surface was electropolished to a surface finish of Ra < 0.5 µm. For mixing, the vessels were equipped with a hygienic magnetic agitator. The required valves, instrumentation, safety devices and process fittings were also installed for temperature, pressure, level, cleaning and inspection. Two static spray balls per vessel enable Clean in Place (CIP).
The preparation vessels were designed and manufactured in accordance with EN 13445 and the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). The required non-destructive tests were performed and the vessels were manufactured under the supervision of an independent Notified Body. Ergonomics and safety were also taken into account during the design.
