Preparation tanks

Separating, mixing or chemical reactions, with or without the aid of heating and cooling technologies, all are part of our available options. Furthermore, our preparation tanks are often fitted up with the necessary instrumentation for recording level, temperature, pressure and pH values. In addition, Veenbrink RVS provides the complete electrotechnical controls for the preparation equipment and can supply fully integrated systems.

Buffer tanks

For reasons of efficiency, production processes are often carried out on a larger scale and media is prepared and produced in bulk. Veenbrink RVS specialises in constructing buffer tanks designed to store media that subsequently is used in preparing the desired end product. Buffer tanks can be supplied as single-wall as well as insulated, and can be equipped with all necessary process connections for safety, cleaning, sampling or access and inspection. Furthermore, facilities can be installed for homogenously stirring the medium. The right fittings and standards are applied depending on the specific application.

Batch, plug flow or continuous production

Veenbrink RVS supplies process equipment for production processes that involve batch production, plug flow production or continuous production. Batch production involves the preparation of a specific volume of product or medium. Once the batch is ready, the process stops and the next batch is started up. A drawback of batch production is that there are many start-up and cleaning-related losses. Furthermore, it generally requires more operator time. This is why, ideally, a structurally continuous production process is preferrable. However, this is not always possible: some production processes simply require regular cleaning cycles or parts may regularly need to be replaced. In plug flow production processes, such as the Veenbrink RVS bioreactors, for example, raw materials are added during the production process. For Veenbrink RVS’s engineers, everything starts with selecting the production process for the end user.
