Examples of non-destructive testing include visual inspection, X-ray inspection, penetrant inspection, ferritic inspection, borescope inspection and hydrostatic pressure testing.
Internal defects are detected by radiographic examination.
Products are always visually inspected before delivery.
Superficial defects are detected by dye penetranting.
Defects at or close to the surface are detected by magnetic examination.
Pressure equipment undergoes a pressure test at a predefined test pressure
